When going into settings on the app, I discover the device, it automatically displays the 10.0.0.6 IP address and it recognises the device because it displays the name I assigned to it kitchen.Say hello to version 3 of the Denon Remote App! This redesigned App for iPhone and iPad will give you an unprecedented level of command and control over your network ready Denon '11/'12/'13/X Series and new 2014 A/V receiver or music system. Last question first - yes I suspect I only switched DHCP off in order to lock in an IP address. Were you originally using DHCP to automatically setup your devices network configurations and only switched it off to manually set the IPs yourself in an attempt to get the Denon app to access the DLNA server.

However, now that you should be able to use the BubbleUPnP app on Android to control the Ceols DLNA streaming with gapless support, why not give the free version a go, at least until this problem is fixed by Denon You should still be able to use the Denon app on the same device to do the non-DLNA streaming functions.īTW, Don Dadda is correct in saying that those IP addresses look suspect. I say this because when I noticed a similar problem with the DNP-F109, DLNA streaming had actually originally worked with the Denon app. I suspect that to save time for the next access, the Ceol firmware caches information about its current access to a DLNA music server and this isnt understood by the Denon app when it tries to access the Ceol to get it DLNA stream, causing it to fail. I believe that there is some sort of incompatibility between the Ceols ( DNP-F109s) firmware and the Denon app. I would concentrate on the possibilty of an actual problem with the Denon app andor the Ceols firmware. The remote devices and the Denon should therefore be correctly set up to connect to the network and talk to each other. Logically, since you are able to access the Ceol using the Denon app (both iOS Android versions) on a mobile device to do any of its non DLNA streaming functions and are also able to DLNA stream with its remote control, the problem shouldnt be anything to do with network connectivity or setup. Ill have a go at trying to sort it out when I next get a chance to play with it (hopefully over the weekend). Like I say I believe the Ceols are able to do this too, so you should be able to use one of these third party controller apps if the Denon app is not up to it.Ĭoncerning your actual problem, I found a very similar problem when testing with the DNP-F109, but I didnt have the time to investigate further. This is actually a very unique feature, that only some very high end streamers are currently able to do. I can happily report that you dont need to use the Denon app for gapless playback support and that gapless works when using a UPnPDLNA control point that also supports gapless, such as the excellent BubbleUPnP controller app for Android. I believe it shares may of the streaming features of the latest all-in-one Denon Ceol models, including that of gapless playback when using a gapless supporting UPnPDLNA controller. Regarding DHCP off, was that set on the Nas or the device which the app is on This is recommended to be done on the Nas and a static ip address given as this where it needs to be done mostly so it can be found everytime by a streamer or such device that depends on it.

What do I have to do to get the apps to access the music server. I have entered the network number 10.0.0.

These control all functions but cannot access my music server on the NAS.

However, Ive tried using the denon remote ipad and android apps. I use it for streaming music from my NAS and also for internet music.
